I might do this once every two years... seems like a reasonable goal

I've always wanted to blog. I've always thought about blogging.

Truth: I suck a blogging.

I decided that if I set a realistic goal (like once every two years) then I might actually be successful :)

My life right now is sooooo slow and sooooo fast all at the same time.  I heard a saying today about how the "days run long but the years run fast." That is exactly how I would describe my life.  I am currently a stay-at-home mother.  I love it, I really do. I love getting to see every second of my girl's lives but I also love working.  I found out yesterday that I have been chosen for a new graduate RN position on the Oncology/Hematology; BMT floor at KU Medical Center.  First off, how freaking awesome is that??? I know most people would do anything to get away from a hospital but it is honestly my comfort zone.  There is something about putting on those scrubs and spending 12 hours in a hospital that makes me feel right at home.  But... I am also terrified to leave my girls.  I'm not scared to leave them in someone else's care but I'm scared of missing something.  Remember that part where the "years run fast?" Well, it seems that every year runs faster and faster. Have I mentioned that Harper is almost 4 months old?! What? I thought I literally just had her.  And Kapri is 2! I have a 2 year old!

So like my BFF Sarah, I love to make lists.  Here are the facts about my life right now:

*I have two daughters. Harper, who is my brunette, green eyed almost 4 month old. Kapri, who is my blonde, hazel eyed 2 year old.
*I will be a stay-at-home mother for 23 more days
*I'm an RN at KU Medical Center (Rock Chalk baby!!)
*I love, love, love my husband.  He is honestly one of the hardest workers I know.
*Chase and I live with his brother Ryan.  It is a pretty sweet deal and Kapri LOVES playing with Ryan.
*I love Kansas City, my friends here and the opportunities that the city offers... but I am missing a lot of my friends.  I'm thinking about buying a huge ranch house and making them all move up here with us.
*My sister and I are the closest we have ever been, proximity and relationship wise.  It is a pretty sweet deal that I wish would last FOREVER... and that brings me to -->
*I'm an army wife :)
*I am currently reading 3 books: Son (which I cannot seem to get into), Power of a Praying Wife and The Body Book by Cameron Diaz.  I just finished I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends (I couldn't put it down!)
*And finally, Twilight is playing in the background right now because I have seen it so many times that it doesn't distract me at all (Lame, I know)

Now lets hope I make another one of these before the two years is up :)

Harper held her own bottle for the first time today

Harper's grip is getting pretty awesome. So of course she is a princess now.

I LOVE watching these two play together. I want to freeze Kapri at this age.
